Hello , I am Bernice Agyekwena, a Ghanaian journalist who has been working for several years as a journalist in the Northern Region of Ghana. I am presently working with Rural Media Network and we are doing a project on the environment. Yes, on the environment. We have a lot of issues on our hands, especially as we are under a lot of threat from desertification with the Sahara Desert advancing southwards year in and year out. Hi Bernice, I just wanted to say how impressed I am with your blog and the stories you have been publishing on the environment. I work for a UK-based organisation called the Alliance of Religions and Conservation (www.arcworld.org), and we work with faith groups to help them develop environmental programmes based on their beliefs and practices. But before this I was a journalist myself for 20 years and so I just wanted to say well done and keep up the good work! It’s so important to record both the environmental problems that people are experiencing and the inspiring action they are taking to address those problems. You are giving a voice to people who otherwise would not have one.
